Ruth Roman

Ruth Roman died Thursday, aged 75, at her Laguna Beach home. Ruth Roman was an iconic Hollywood screen actor who made waves in Hollywood in the 1950s due to her mixture of pure sexuality and purity. Richard Hall, son of Ruth Roman, stated that she died quietly in her sleep. Warner Brothers offered her nine leading roles in just two years after her first role in Stanley Kramer's 'Champion the Champion', a adaptation by the writer Ring Lardner of a mad prizefighter short story. Within a single day she went from working with Bette Davis in ''Beyond the Forest'' to playing Milton Berle in ''Always Leave Them Laughing.''
