Mitchell also wrote about her experience in the book Chicken Soup for the Preteen Soul as well as the 7th Heaven episode Nothing Endures But Change. Mitchell lost her close friend Angela during a car accident. She was just 15 years of age. Mitchell had a very difficult encounter with this tragedy as well. Angela was the inspiration behind Mitchell's track Angel on her debut album. The song was featured on her 7th Heaven Episode Nothing Endures But Change and in Chicken Soup for Preteen Soul she also talked about her experiences.
